2505934 - SMP 3.0 SDK Error in Offline DB -102 (TOO_MANY_CONNECTIONS)

Symptom

An Offline OData application has been developed using a version of the SMP 3.0.
From time to time synchronization for the client runs on errors.

Once the error is present on the device this can be only solved by restarting the device.

While investigating the log entries for the Offline store the following entries are visible:
SAP.Data.OData.Offline.Store[-10005] An error occurred connecting to the database using connection string "UID=dba;PWD="sql";DBKEY="c417b6fe-299f-4b1b-a501-812e1bf08a0d";DBF="C:\Users\<XYZ>\AppData\Local\Packages\<ABC>-WindowsApp-INT_g61na1se13sjw\LocalState\CNMasterStore.rq.udb"".  Reason: -102 (TOO_MANY_CONNECTIONS)
