Symptom
You have successfully created an Intrastat declaration via the Intrastat Declaration Run, however several items do not have any Net Weight data and when checking the Item you get the following error: Net weight missing.
As per Case Document 2245186 - Net Weight Appears as Zero in the Intrastat Declaration, you have previously maintained the Weight data in the Product Master Data, before creating the delivery.
Environment
SAP Business ByDesign
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Intrastat Work Center.
- Go to Intrastat Declarations view.
- Show All Intrastat Declarations.
- Find XYZ (XYZ represents the Intrastat Declaration ID).
- Select Edit.
- Go to Items tab.
- Select an inconsistent line and click Check.
You get the error Net weight missing.
Cause
In the Intrastat Declaration, the system always displays the Net Weight in the UoM (Unit of Measure) Kg.
If there are UoM Characteristics maintained in the Product Master Data from UoM X (X represents a UoM different from Kg) to Kg, only for those items' Net Weights will be calculated. The system doesn't automatically calculate the conversion if these are not maintained in the Product Master Data - UoM Characteristics tab and referring to the UoM Kg.
Resolution
You need to maintain all the units used with a conversion to Kg in the Product Master Data before the deliveries are created.
