2506449 - SCORM Suspend_Data character limits

Course does not bookmark and resume in the correct location after a certain point of the course.

When a user closes a course and relaunches it, it does not resume in the correct location.

SCORM imposes a character limit on the suspend_data for content.

The character limit of 4096 is a limit imposed by SCORM and not the LMS  so there are no changes that can be made through LMS to increase this limit.

Please note that SCORM imposes the following Limits on the suspend_data element:

SCORM 1.2 - 4,096
SCORM 2004 2nd Edition - 4,000
SCORM 2004 3rd Edition - 64,000
SCORM 2004 4th Edition - 64,000

As the limit cannot be changed in LMS, most vendors get a round this by compressing the suspend_data information.

Another option is to publish the content in SCORM 2004 format which supports up to 64,000 characters.

Please take note if doing this that SuccessFactors LMS only supports SCORM 2004 2nd Edition & 4th Edition
