2508157 - Error Message "Item Group ID X does not exist" When Migrating Bills of Material

Symptom

When you migrate Bills of Material, system throws below error message during validation.

"Item Group ID X does not exist"

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Business Configuration work center
  2. Select Implementation Projects view or Overview.
  3. Search and Open the migration activity Migration of Bills of Material
  4. Execute Migration for the respective Migration File

Cause

The cause for the issue is that in tab Input Products, Input Product ID ABC has Line Item Group ID = X. In tab BoM Item Groups, Line Item Group ID X is missing, Hence the error.

Resolution

To solve the issue, either you change the Line Item Group ID of Input Product ID ABC to an existing one, or you enter Line Item Group ID X.
