2508282 - Standard Dashboard - Objective Dashboard - Objective Status description has the word "Goal" instead of "Objective"

Symptom

  • The text for 'Objective' has been replaced by Goal or vice versa, using the text replacement option.
  • This change doesn't reflect in the standard Dashboards and Stand Tiles downloaded from the SuccessStore.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to Admin Center
  2. Search for and choose 'Text Replacement'
  3. Select the desire locale.
  4. Enter the desired text in the 'Replace Text with' field for Goal / Objective (This will depend on the instance's configuration).
  5. Logout of the system, clear the browser's cache and cookies and log back in.
  6. The text replacement doesn't reflect in Standard Dashboards and Tiles

Cause

  • Texts inside the standard dashboard do not honor text replacement. 
  • Some texts are hard coded, and use the dictionary inside the model for localisation. 
  • This is expected behavior.

Resolution

  • Please use tile based dashboards instead where you are able to create your own dashboard (can be based on standard tiles)
  • These tile based dashboards allow for text replacement if such text arises. 
  • You can also build tiles using the tile builder, to overcome the limitation.
