Symptom

This KBA give further information about block orientation behavior in People Profile

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Employee Profile > Edit a Background Block

  2. See it is horizontally oriented
  3. Now edit an User Information Block

    User Info.png

  4. See it is vertically oriented.

Cause

  • For Background Information Blocks the orientation will change depending on the screen and group size.
  • For User Information Blocks the orientation will always be a vertical layout.

Resolution

  • Different Block Orientation (Vertical or Horizontal) in the Profile is an expected behavior depending on the type of the block and the screen/group size.
