2508677 - Extending time account validity end date for a Contract Employee-EC-TIM

Symptom

Our client has a requirement where for contract employees (tenure based employees), Calendar period is equal to his contract period.  By default contract period is 1 year and renews every year Below is the example Contract Start Date: 07.05.2016 Contract End Date: 06.05.2017 Calendar Period : 07.05.2016 to 06.05.2017 The above end date will extend if employee avails Loss of Pay or any leave during the above tenure period of one year. Contract end date extended : 23.07.2017 Then his calendar period should be 07.05.2016 to 23.07.2017 and when the employee continues after renewal of contract then his next year calendar period should be 24.07.2017 to 23.07.2018 We have used for calendar creation with Employee hire date configuration, but please advise the technical feasibility of extending calendar period more than a year and creating next year calendar with such extended date instead of employee hire date.

This requirement to extend the account validity end date based on any criteria is not possible. Because annual accounts can only span a year not more than that.

 

From 1708 release it is only possible to have account start date = flexible start date( contract start date). But the account validity can never be longer than one year (annual frequency).

 

If you would like to only extend bookable end date, then its possible only manually.

 

Therefore, only annual accounts are supported with an employee specific flexible account start date.
