2508768 - "IO Exception no protocol" login error received using SAP Work Manager SSO

Symptom

  • Error received on transmit from SAP Work Manager/Agentry client to SMP server:

        "Could not log in using user <USER ID> IO Exception no protocol: PORTAL_URL="
  • SSO is working between the portal and the backend ECC system.
  • JavaBE.ini had recently been updated and the SMP server restarted.
