2509252 - How to Configure Absence Counting Method to Ignore Weekend and Holidays

Symptom

Business Requirement is to configure a leave type so as to ignore Weekends and Bank Holidays i.e. Count them as  if they were actual working days

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central (EC) - All Versions

Resolution

  1. Go to Manage Time Off Structrures and create a new Absence Counting Method;
  2. In the field Consider Holidays you have two options:
    1. If you chose YES, this means that the system will take into consideration if one day is a holiday meanintg that this day will NOT be counted;
    2. If you chose NO, this means that regardles of being a holiday, the system will count that day as it was a normal one.

For weekdays and weekends, if you set the value to "Yes" then they are always deducted.

You must also set the Time Type Field "Duration Display According to" = Deduction Quantity.
