2509534 - Recorded Times do not reach Time Account and Relevant Reporting

Employee times are recorded and Active or Approved. In Business Configuration times of this time type are assigned to a defined Time Account. They are visible in the Time File of the employee at the Employees Times tab and also in Employee Times report. However, they are not available under the Time Account Balance tab, and no posting to this account happens. They are also missing in the Employee Time Accounts report.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Time Administration work center.
  2. Go to Employees view.
  3. Select the respective Employee ID and choose Edit.
  4. Select the Employee Times tab.
  5. You find recordings for the relevant Time Type.
  6. Select the Time Account Balances tab.
  7. Mark the row of the relevant Time Account.
  8. No appropriate balance is available.

The issue happens as soon as the following preconditions are met: The times are recorded with specified Start-/End Time or Duration, and they are recorded as Hours(s), although the Time Account has unit Day(s). In this case quantity calculation from Work Schedule is skipped.

To recognize and accrual recorded Hours(s) with Start-/End Time or Duration, change the unit of the Time Account from Day(s) to Hours(s).

  1. Go to the Business Configuration work center.
  2. Go to Overview.
  3. Show Activities and find Time Accounts (- Country).
  4. Open the respective Time Accounts (- Country) Activity.
  5. Choose Maintain Time Account Types.
  6. Mark the row of Time Account Type.
  7. Change entry in Unit from Day(s) to Hours(s).
  8. Choose Save and Close.

Afterwards, perform a Day Closure run for the affected employee(s) by following the below steps:

  1. Go to the Time Administration work center.
  2. Go to Regular Task view.
  3. Choose Run Day Closure for One Employee.
  4. Maintain the Employee.
  5. Mark Start Time Valuation and choose Run.
  6. Select a Valuation Start Date prior to the first date the Times were recorded.
  7. Select OK.
  8. Choose Save and Close.
