2510236 - Using HTTP protocol in CPI - SCC - ERP communication

Symptom

  • You are connecting from SAP Cloud Integration (former. CPI) to On-Premise ERP or non-SAP system via SAP Cloud Connector (SCC).
  • In SAP Cloud Integration, you have to use protocol "http" for outbound communication while setting Proxy Type as On-Premise.
  • Otherwise you will see error:
    Proxy Type On-Premise is not supported for HTTPS end points. Check Address or change Proxy Type.
  • You might think this is a security vulnerability, as http protocol is not secured over Internet.
