2510332 - Email notification for self-registered Class is not triggered - LMS

Symptom

Registration Email Notification (SystemEnrollmentNotification template) is not triggered when the user self-assigns a class. It works when the Class registration is performed by an Admin.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

Reproducing the Issue

NOTE: First, make sure that on the Class level, it is set to deliver notifications to User upon enrollment (under Class record > "Email Confirmation for User-Initiated Actions"). Also make sure that Global Variables > Mail is enabled.

Scenario #1:

  1. Login as a User
  2. Enroll in a Class
  3. No Registration Email Notification is sent to the user

Scenario #2:

  1. Login as an Admin > Learning Administration
  2. Register the User in Registrations tab
  3. User receives the enrollment notification

Why for Scenario #1 is not triggering the Registration Email Notification even if the Class settings are correct and the Mail is enabled in Global Variables?

Resolution

Navigate to Learning Administration > System Administration > Configuration > System Configuration > Global Application Settings > Mail settings tab > Application Notification User Email field

"Application Notification User Email" should not be blank. You can put in any generic email and this would act as the "sender" of the email notification that the users receive when they enroll for a Class.
