2510591 - Ability To Submit Additional Hours In Time Sheet On A Full Day Absence Date

• Error: "A Full day absense exists for the same period as the Attendance on YYYY-MM-DD you have entered.  You cannot create new time entries for YYYY-MM-DD when a full day absencce already exists for this day.
• Unable to record attendance when a full day absence has been taken.

1. Request a full day absence for an employee.

2. In the employee's time sheet, record attendance/overtime outside the planned time(work schedule)

3. Error occurs: "A Full day absence exists for the same period as the Attendance on...>

This is an expected system behavior from 1H 2021 release i.e if an employee is on a full day absence, attendance/overtime cannot be recorded for the same day and a collision error occurs:

• The changes from 2H 2020 and 1H 2021 are as below:

NOTE: As shown in the screenshot, if there is a attendance already present and then an absence is requested, a similar collision error is raised. This is again an expected behaviour even before 1H 2021 release.

Solution:

1. Navigate to Manage Data -> Create New 'Time Type' -> Set the classification as “extra”->Add the other required details and save.
2. Add this Time Type to those employee's Time Profiles where it shall be allowed to record attendance for a day with full day absence. After this, you should be able to this time type to record attendance without any collision errors.
3. In terms of Time Valuation configuration, add this time type to the time type group that is used to collect all overtime relevant recorded time types.

NOTE: The Extra hours will not be added to the Total displayed on the Time Sheet UI.
