SAP Knowledge Base Article - Preview

2510592 - Error: "Incompatible Agent protocol. The Agent that is attempting to connect is incompatible with this version of the Enterprise Manager. Agent" while the Byte Code Adapter is not properly collecting metric - Solution Manager 7.2

Symptom

  • You notice Metrics are not collected properly on the Introscope Enterprise Manager Server
  • In the Introscope Enterprise Manager Server log folder, in the "IntroscopeEnterpriseManager.log" file, you see the following error: 

[ERROR] [Acceptor Helper 1] [Manager.Agent] Incompatible Agent protocol. The Agent that is attempting to connect is incompatible with this version of the Enterprise Manager. Agent: XXXX
[ERROR] [XXXX] [XXX] /index.JSP
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/apache/jsp/index_JSP (wrong name: org/apache/jsp/index_jsp)
