2510755 - PDI Data Source is Missing Data

Symptom

You have created a data source via the Cloud Application Studio, however when you preview it in the system or when you create a report on it, you notice that some records from the system are not shown in the data source.

Environment

  • SAP Business ByDesign
  • SAP Cloud for Customer
  • SAP Cloud Applications Studio

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the work center Business Analytics, select view Design Data Sources.
  2. Search for your PDI data source and click on Preview.
  3. Add the fields / variables as required.

Not all expected records are shown.

Cause

The content of a PDI data source is determined - among other settings - by the anchor node. One possible cause is that you have not set the anchor node to the ROOT node, but to a lower level node instead. Hence the data source will only show those records that have entries in that subordinate node.

Resolution

Please contact the creator of your PDI solution and request them to check the data source settings, and its anchor node in particular.
