2510918 - Two Digit Year Defaulting to Incorrect Century - EC

Symptom

  • Birth year defaults to the future
  • The year of birth isn't correct when it is entered as 2 digits
  • Manually typing a two digit year in Biographical Information > Date of Birth results in the wrong century

Reproducing the Issue

  1. New Hire Wizard > Biographical Information > Date of Birth
  2. Manually type in the two digit year. For example: 

01/01/78 defaults to Jan 01, 1978:

Resolution

  • This is expected behavior.
  • The correct way to enter the birth year is to either type all four digits of the year or by clicking on and making use of the small calendar applet:
