Symptom

During the PREP_INIT/DB2_CHECKNOTES_INI phase, SUM returns the following error (or a similar one):

*Symptom:*
The update procedure with target release 740 needs a patched version of the
tool listed below.
Each tool in question was called from the target release kernel in
'/usr/sap/<SID>/SUM/abap/exe'.

*Necessary Action*


*For the Target Release Kernel:*
Download the new non-unicode tools (DB independent resp. DB dependent for
ORACLE) according to *SAP Note 2337629* and put the archives into the download
directory /SAPCDS/UPG_740.


List of failing tools:
