2511842 - Competency Behavior Description Text Is Not Formatted On Form

The competency behavior description is formatted with rich text/HTML tokens (e.g. new line, bold, list order... using HTML tags) or text appears as multiple lines in Manage Center of Capabilities, however when viewed on a Performance Management form or 360 Reviews form the text is not formatted/shows the HTML tags.

Behavior Descriptions do not support rich text. The Behavior Description field text does not store encoded HTML/Rich Text tags required for formatting.

• Text will be displayed without formatting on Performance Management and 360 Review forms.
• In Manage Center of Capabilities, pressing the enter key (carriage return) will result in a new line and multiple lines will be displayed, however forms will display the text without formatting. 
• Note: In Manage Center of Capabilities you will notice that there are no text formatting tools for Behavior Descriptions as there are for Competency Descriptions, so HTML/Rich Text tags are not saved with the text.
• HTML tags entered in the Behavior Descriptions will appear as entered on the form, for example; "<b>test</b>" will appear as "<b>test</b>" instead of "test".
• Exception: If the section mode is “EZ Rater” AND Rate on Behaviors is configured, the system will render html tags in the behavior description. For example for example; "<b>test</b>" will appear as "test", see the images below for examples of how text will be displayed.
