• How do I disable or deactivate one User in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)?

Starting Q3 2023, one new feature has been introduced to allow the activation and deactivation of SAC users directly in the SAC UI.

1. Connect to your SAP Analytics Cloud tenant as an administrator.
2. Navigate to Security > Users from the main menu.
3. Select the row for the user you want to disable/deactivate.
4. Click Deactivate Users icon.
5. In the prompted pop-up, click Deactivate button.

This will achieve a few key objectives:

• Deactivated users cannot log into the SAC system.
• Licenses are freed up when a user is deactivated.
• Content is maintained under the deactivated user

Update:

• Starting from Q4 2024, You can now activate or deactivate a user via the SCIM API using the active attribute (see SAC Road Map & What's New for 2024 Q4).
