2512788 - SAP system cannot start, "No such file or directory" appears in stderrX

Symptom

SAP system cannot start. In <drive>:\usr\sap\<SID>\<instance>\work\stderr<n> following error message appears:

fopenU("\\SAPGLOBALHOST\sapmnt\<SID>\SYS\profile\<STARTUP_PROFILE>","r"): No such file or directory

Or when you try to open the profile in Windows explorer, it cannot be accessed (example):

In command line the profile cannot be found by its name (example):

C:\Users\tswadm>dir \\tswhost\sapmnt\TSW\SYS\profile\TSW_DVEBMGS00_tswhost
The network name cannot be found.
