Symptom

  • When installing the product, the following error is encountered:
    Assertion failure
    A fatal error has occurred which has caused the install to quit.
    Please gather any %TEMP% and installer logs to present to your support personnel.
  • Setupengine logs show the following errors:

    Error: Couldn't load library 'Uncategorized.dll'. Error code: 127
    Error: Unable to find function 'DetectAdminPrivilege' in library 'Uncategorized.dll'.
    Error: Couldn't load library 'Uncategorized.dll'. Error code: 127
    Error: Unable to find function 'RegistrySearch' in library 'Uncategorized.dll'.

    Key written for transaction in progress, but no registered transaction and no previously installed product.
    Assuming install operation was aborted before start of transaction. Deleting manifest files...
    Error: Assert(IsInstallStateEmpty(installManifest->GetCurrentInstallState())) failed in file main.cpp line 1616
    Message:
    Trying to delete non-empty install manifest C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\InstallData\InstallManifest.sqlite
