Symptom
When assigning a user to a new Position, by manually selecting a new position and updating some job info field.
The Job Information to Position sync is not occurring and the update fields on Job info are not syncing across to the Position.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Position Management
Reproducing the Issue
1. Navigate to "Change Job and Compensation Information" for a user.
2. Move them to a new Position.
3. Change some of the fields which you have defined within your Job Information to Position Sync rule.
4. Save changes with an Event Reason, which has "Position Reclassification" maintained in the "Follow-Up Activity in Position".
5. Changes are not synced to the Position.
Cause
This is expected behaviour.
Resolution
If a position was selected manually while the Job Info was changed, position reclassification doesn't take place. Only the Job Info is saved.
