1 - Is there any SAP Note being required to implement in ERP/ECC system?

No, and there are no plans to release SAP Notes about this currency change.

2 - Currency GHS:

Generally SAP follows ISO 4217, but it is not always followed for all the currencies. We do not recommend you to change any currency or decimal points ever, even if the ISO 4217 is updated.

2 - Change GHC currency, is it considered a core modification?

No. The table TCURX is a class C table, so it is a customizing table, maintenance by customers, but we do not recommend you to change or remove GHC currency.

3 - What is the impact if we removed or change GHC currency from table TCURX?

Since it is difficult to change the name, number of decimals or other details for a currency after the start of production, the decision should be carefully made. It is recommended to discuss it with internal and external auditors. A change in production requires a conversion of all GHC amounts contained in the system. Check SAP Notes 137626 and 434349. The SAP suggestion is to create a new currency called GHS with the customizing you want or requested by Ghanaian government, but issues related with this change are not supported by SAP. You can create a new currency for Ghana, but do not remove current currency. You may keep it in your system and just avoid to use it.

4 - Can we remove GHC currency from table TCURX if we have existing document postings using GHC currency?

It is not recommended. As informed, one possibility is to create a new currency with the customizing you want, using the decimal places or other characteristics that you want, and then, you can start to use this new currency. However, issues related with this change are not supported by SAP.
