Resolution
What is it?
- In addition to personal 'saved searches', system admins can now also configure default search fields that should be automatically shown as additional search criteria to all users. The fields that are configured would comply with the talent search permissions of each role.
- Default search fields are configured via "Admin Center > Talent Search Settings“. The system validates the default fields, defined for all users with the searchable fields assigned to the logged in user's role and only displays the fields that match both criterias.
Why is it important?
Better user guidance for occasional users of talent search, e.g. managers.
Prerequisites
Talent Search v2 has been enabled via Upgrade Center.
Effect in Talent Search v2 UI:
Fields and background elements which were set as “Default Search” fields, will always show up when users use Talent Search for the first time, and whenever users choose “Start over” to reset the previous search selection.
