2514385 - Agent Administration freeze in the Internet Explorer

When you access the Agent Administration in the Solution Manager using the Internet Explorer, the screen freeze and/or hangs. Sometimes is impossible filter the Agents or use any functionality of this screen.

• Solution Manager 7.1 and 7.2

1 - Open http<s>://<FQHN>:<PORT>/smd/AgentAdmin page in the Internet Explorer

2 - The screen freezes

This problem is caused by some add-ons running in the Internet Explorer.

To check if the freezing is caused by the Internet Explorer add-ons. You can make this test:

1. Press Windows Key + R to open Run window
2. Type iexplore.exe -extoff and press Enter
3. You are goind to see an IE windows saying: Internet Explorer is currently running without add-ons

This will load the IE without any add-on, tollbar or anything besides the browser itself. With the opened window, load the Agent Administration page on it. If does not freeze, the problem is caused by the add-ons.

To remove the add-ons, you can do the following:

1. Press Windows Key + R to open Run window
2. Type inetcpl.cpl inside Run window. Click OK. This will open Internet Properties window
3. Click on Programs Tab
4. Click Manage add-ons
5. On the right side of Toolbars and Extensions, you can see the list of installed add-ons. Look for any suspicious or unused add-on. Click on that add-on. Down below, you can see the Enable or Disable button. Use it to disable unwanted add-ons. Close the window.
6. Test if the Agent Administration page will stop freeze. If not, deactivates more add-ons.
