Note: a change was made to keep the behavior of the Private/Public attribute (Visibility Field) consistent between Team Goals and Personal Goals. This currently impacts Latest Goal Management only. Resolution

It is possible to either completely remove the column and make all Goals/Development Goals public or to change the "Visibility" text into an icon. To achieve either of the options, changes to the template are required in the back end, so you will need to open a case with Customer Support or reach out to your partner.

How to remove the column entirely?

To remove the column entirely, you'll need to make all Goals public by default and also remove any permissions for private Goals. The following changes are required in the template:

  • Change the property "new-obj-share-status-public" in the Objective Plan Template to "true", to make all goals default to public;
  • Remove all "private-access" permissions from the template;
  • Remove all "share" permissions from the template.
  • Remove the "use-text-for-privacy" attribute.

Note: Before making this change, make sure that the relevant Goals are changed to "public" visibility. After making the above changes, private goals will no longer be visible in the Goals Plan.

How to change the "Visibility" column to an icon?

In the Development Goals / Goals Plan Template, locate the attribute "use-text-for-privacy" within the tag "obj-plan-template" and change the value to "false".

  • True = Text is displayed to show goal as public or private. Additionally, goal can be set as public or private when goal is being created.
  • False = Icons are displayed to make goal as public or private.
