2515160 - Extension Field has no Data Source to Extend

You have created an extension field and would like to add it to a data source and report. However in the adaptation mode, no data sources are listed.

• SAP Business ByDesign
• SAP Cloud for Customer

1. Create an extension field.
2. Edit the field and click on Further Usage.
3. Go to the Reporting tab (Data Sources).

No data sources are listed here. The field cannot be added to reporting.

For a data source to be listed here, the access context of a data source has to match the business context in which the field was created.

Additionally, not all data sources enabled for extension fields. Among those that are enabled, not all are enabled for key figure extension fields. Extension fields will be key figures, if they are of type Quantity, Amount or Decimal.

The data source list in the Further Usage screen always displays all data sources that match your extension field type and its business context. If a data source is not listed here, it cannot be extended with your field.
