2515174 - How to Identify If A Change Is Triggered by Workflow Rule

Symptom

You want to identify if a change of a document is triggered by workflow rule, or by a business user.

e.g: The status field of a Task activity.

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer

Resolution

  1. Go to the related work center.  (e.g: Activities)
  2. Go to the related work center view. (e.g: Tasks)
  3. Find and open the relavent document. (e.g: Task AAA, AAA represents the Task ID)
  4. Go to the Changes facet of the document.
  5. Find the change history. (e.g: the change history of Status field)

If any changes happened due to scheduled workflow rule, then the changes should be triggered by the user SAP_SYSTEM, not a business user.
