2515484 - Future simulation of accruals not working for long periods in future

When trying to simulate balances for a future date, you can see that the simulation stopped working correctly after some years ahead.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central (EC) - All Versions

1. Select one employee;
2. Go to Manage Time off (or administer time of you are on PP3);
3. On "Effective ass of", change the year for a future year (like in this example 2026);
4. See that the simulation worked for the first years and then stoped working; 

Expect behavior.

Due to performance reasons we restrict endless calculation.

The configuration field maximumSimulationHorizonInMonths is invisible per default on TimeAccountType. You can make it editable to enter a bigger number.

To do so go to:

1. Configure object definitions>select object definitions>select time account type;
2. Select take action>make correction;
3. Search for the field maximumSimulationHorizonInMonths and make it editable;
4. After this you can change it manually making this horizont bigger.
