2515574 - Failed to logon from client tools when using FQDN in multi-homed environment (multiple network cards) with multiple FQDN/Alias

Symptom

  • Client tools are unable to log in to the BusinessObjects Platform using the Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) with an error FWM 20030
  • No issue from the client when the hosts file is configured (ie: C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc) with hostname and FQDN
  • Some connections are not visible in Information Design Tool
  • Web Intelligence reports cannot be executed
  • Promotion between environment appear to be failing
