2516348 - Job failed with long MySQL host name - SAP Data Services 4.2

Symptom

  • Data Services uses MySQL as a Local Repository.
  • Job fails with the following error:
    <MySQL-Host-Name> exceeds the limit: <64> characters for repository type: <MySQL>.
  • In CMC, replace the long host name with IP in Data Services Repository connection, then the job will work.
