Symptom
In the UI, the date appears as 01/01/2017. When we run ad hoc reports, the dates appear as 1/1/2017

- Choose Any Type of Ad Hoc Report i.e. Person and employment as of date
- Choose date fields
- Observe the difference in dates

Cause
The date format for the language English US causes this.
If your logged in user or your default locale is English US, once you export an ad hoc report, the dates will appear this way.
The dates also appear the same way if choosing filters
This is due predefined formats of the JAVA programming language
SuccessFactors is built upon JAVA
The Date Format for the US in JAVA will appear as 1/1/2019

Resolution
If you need the date to appear as 01/01/2017, then you can change the language of the logged in user to be English_UK
In JAVA, English UK date format appears as 01/01/2017
To do so, go to Options > Change Language > Choose English UK and Click Switch
If English UK is not enabled in your instance, contact your partner or contact SAP support for them to enable the language for you
