2518732 - Error in Inspection Plan During Change of Status

  When you try to activate inspection Plan 9999 you encounter the following error-
   Inspection plan is not consistent; activation not possible
   Catalog CatalogXYZ for code CodeXYZ not in validity period

SAP Business ByDesign

   1. Go to Quality Planning workcenter and Inspection Plans view.
    2. Show All Inspection Plans and Find Inspection Plan ID 9999.
    3. Select Inspection Plan ID 9999 and Change Status to Active.
    You encounter the above error.

   Quality Codes of the Qualtity catalog used in the Inspection Plan are currently not Valid.
    You can check the Validity of the Quality Code in Quality Code Catalogs view.

   Follow the below steps to create a new version of the catalog-
    1. Go to Inspection Plan workcenter and Quality Code Catalogs view.
    2. Select the Catalog ID and create New Catalog Version.
    3. Set the relevant Valid From and Valid To date, Save and Close.

    Once the above steps are completed follow the below steps to Change Status of Inspection Plan-
    1. Go to Quality Planning workcenter and Inspection Plans view.
    2. Show All Inspection Plans and Find Inspection Plan ID 9999 and Edit.
    3. Go to Quality Codes sub tab
    4. Select the Code ID and Remove and add it again using Add Row and Save.
    You should now be able to change the status of the inspection plan to Active without any errors.
