Symptom

  • The upgrade is stuck at the SUM phase RUN_SGEN_LOAD_POSTP.
  • In SM51, the background work process which runs the RSUPG_SGEN_LOAD background job is in status "On Hold" with Reason "RFC".
  • In the SARFC transaction, you can find the following information: "Too few free dialog work processes".
