This KBA explains below scenarios of EPF calculation for Employee and Employer based on Mandatory and Voluntary rates.
- Scenario 1 Wage > RM 5000
- Scenario 2 Wage > RM 5000, received bonus
- Scenario 3 Wage > RM 5000, payroll period in March 2016
- Scenario 4 Wage > RM 5000, payroll period from March 2016 onwards, employee who opt for 11% as Personal option
- Scenario 5 Wage < RM 5000, payroll period from March 2016 onwards, employee who opt for 11% as Personal option
- Scenario 6 Wage < RM 5000, payroll period from March 2016 onwards, employee who opt for 11% as Personal option and received bonus, total amount > RM 5000
- Scenario 7 Wage < RM 5000, payroll period from March 2016 onwards, employee who opt for 11% as Personal option and received bonus, total amount < RM 5000
- Scenario 8 Normal EPF bases retro
- Scenario 9 No normal EPF earnings
- Scenario 10 Wages less than RM10
