When building a query in Detailed Reporting in the Online Report Designer, preview data can get a pre selection of filters in a mandatory date filters.
In preview data is displayed as of a specific date picked in mandatory date filters, but on export it is displayed as of "today" instead of the selected date.
Cause
Offline export function does not honor the mandatory date filters and hence export files shows different number of records as compare to records present in UI. This is primarily happening for EC data in Detailed Reporting.
Resolution
Building the query/ Report in Advanced Reporting is preventing this from happening as preview and offline export adhere to the date filter selected.
