2519436 - SEB-Users created/updated manually in BizX are created/updated in other modules

Upon manually creating a user in BizX, the user is created automatically in other modules of the SuccessFactors application such as the Learning Management System.

The newly created user passes through some basic information such as Home Cost Center which is Job Location in the LMS.

There are instances that the user is not created but other data is passed to the other modules, which creates unwanted data or unwanted LMS users.

• SuccessFactors BizX Platform
• SuccessFactors Learning Management System (LMS) - All Supported Versions
• SAP Jam

1. Go to Admin Center
2. In "Tool Search" type in "Add New Employee"
3. Go through the process of adding manually creating an employee
4. Once the Employee has been created, wait for the Service Event Bus to trigger and create the user in LMS
5. Go to LMS Admin and search for the user
6. If the user is not created, check for other data such as Job Location has been created by checking References in LMS Admin

User or User data is created due to the SEB. The SEB stands for Service Event Bus which is a framework that facilitates asynchronous messaging between SuccessFactors modules.

An event such as a User being created or a User changing a language triggers the SEB.

An example would be a language change in BizX will trigger the SEB to make an LMS OData call so that the language will be changed to the user's preference on the LMS.

If unwanted data or users are being created/updated, SEB can be disabled on a tenant level. However, turning off the Service Event Bus does impact BizX, LMS, and Jam.

Turning off the Service Event Bus did effect real time updates if a user makes changes to certain fields on their BizX profile.

Jam impact:

• firstName
• lastName
• jobTitle
• timeZone
• defaultLocale

LMS impact:

• Locale
• Time Zone
• Currency

BizX impact:

• Manual User creation will stop automatic user creation (Does not impact connectors or Jam sync)
