Symptom
What we have a is "communal" device which serves several technicians on the shop floor. Each of the technicians is an SAP user and has his own personal use id
How do you suggest going about setting up the device?
Currently (in the development system) we have it set up that the device has a certificate for a "general user" with which the mobile device activates the "handshake" and logs on via the Gateway system
The first screen the user sees in the application is a "log-on" screen to the application for which he uses his employee card (which is scanned by the device)
This send to the SAP system the user's identification with which we activate authorization checks for in the proceeding functions run by the user while using the application (closing notification, reporting on work orders, closing work orders, etc.)
The problem we have run into is that since the handshake is done via the certificate installed on the device, all actions done in the SAP system is logged on this user (the "general user") and not on the user which was identified
following the handshake with the SAP system.
