2519804 - Unable to "Save as PDF" on People Profile - SuccessFactors Employee Profile

• Unable to "Save as PDF" after b1708 release;
• Option to "Save as PDF" on People Profile no longer available/removed;
• Different result in different Browsers.

• SAP SuccessFactors Employee Profile

1. Go to People Profile > Select Take Action > Print/PDF.
2. Select either of the options "Print the entire page" or "Print the selected parts" > click preview.
3. There is no option at the bottom of the page to Save as PDF:
   
   
   
   
4. Before the b1708 release you had the option to Save as PDF as seen below:
   
   

The button "Save as PDF" was used in a legacy feature which had an open issue that cannot be fixed due to certain limitations, therefore another approach was provided so customers can still save the page as PDF.

1. Go to People Profile > Select Take Action > Print/PDF.
2. Select either of the options "Print the entire page" or "Print the selected parts" > click preview.
3. Select Print.

If it is being used Google Chrome, please continue following this steps:

1. After selecting print you will be brought to a print screen where you will be able to choose the destination of the file (i.e. which printer you would like to use):
   
   
   
   
2. If you select "Change" you will be given an option to now save the file as PDF:
   
   
   
   
3. Select Save as PDF > Save.

If it is being used Internet Explorer, please continue following this steps:

1. After selecting print you will be brought to a print screen where you will be able to choose the destination of the file (i.e. which printer you would like to use):
   
   
   
   
2. Select some PDF Printer (like for example Microsoft Print to PDF).
3. Click on Print.

If it is being used Mozilla Firefox, please continue following this steps:

1. After selecting print you will be brought to a print screen where you will be able to choose the destination of the file (i.e. which printer you would like to use):
   
   
   
   
2. Select some PDF Printer (like for example Microsoft Print to PDF).
3. Click OK.

• For diferent result in different browsers:

Please note the configuration of the Print generated, will depend on the settings selected, like the file destination, type of paper, Layout, Margin, etc...

And also depend on what is the Browser (I.E, Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc). It can affect the margin printed, cutting some parts of the document generated. You will need to ensure the configuration is correctly set.

Each Browser can behave differently depending on the configuration, and for these cases, no configuration can be done on SuccessFactors side to change.
