2520033 - "AdaptProfiles was executed with status ERROR" during remove instance service of Dual-Stack Split using Software Provisioning Manager

Symptom

The removing of old Java-Stack of Dual-Stack Split failed in the step AdaptProfiles using Software Provisioning Manager (SAP Note #1680045) tool.

sapisnt_dev.log file (in sapinst_instdir) contains the following lines:

ERROR      <timestamp> (root/sapinst) [CSiStepExecute.cpp:1107] id=controller.stepExecuted errno=FCO-00011
The step AdaptProfiles with step key |DSS_JavaRemove_CI|ind|ind|ind|ind|0|0|c_adapt_profiles_for_dss|ind|ind|ind|ind|1|0|AdaptProfiles was executed with status ERROR ( Last error reported by the step: Caught java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException in module call: com.sap.sdt.ins.component.c_adapt_profiles_for_dss.AdaptProfiles.).
