2520207 - Which Fields Will Be Searched When Use Basic Search in Lead Object Work List

Symptom

When you use basic search in the Leads object work list (OWL), you are wondering which fields will be looked up to impact the result list.

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Sales work center.
  2. Go to the Leads view.
  3. In the Leads OWL, input XYZ in the basic search place (XYZ represents your search input).

You will get the result list of the leads matching your search parameters. You would like to know which fields were looked up to impact the results.

Cause

Using basic search in the Leads OWL, the system will not search for all the fields, but some particular fields.

Resolution

The system will search for the fields as below:

  • ID
  • Name
  • AccountName
  • ContactName
  • ExternalID
  • OwnerName
  • OwnerSalesName
  • Plus those extension fields which are showing in the advanced search.
