2520517 - Compound Characteristics Cannot be Added to Cloud Data Source

Add a compound characteristic for eg: Product ID of CODPRODUCT (Product Master Data) Data source in a Cloud Data Source. When you click save, the following error message is displayed:

'Element Product ID: Number of compounded characteristics does not match'

SAP Cloud for Customer

1. Go to the Business Analytics work center.
2. Go to the Design Data sources.
3. Click New.
4. Select Cloud Data source.
5. Add CODPRODUCT as Referencing Data source.
6. Add Product ID for Referencing Data source Key field.
7. Click Save.

The following error message is shown: 'Element Product ID: Number of compounded characteristics does not match'.

Some data source fields are compounded, i.e. they are linked to other characteristics. Such compounded fields are not supported in Cloud Data Sources.

You would need to use another characteristics which contains the same information which has no compounding.
eg: Unique Product ID (PROD_EXTERNAL_ID) can be used instead of the compounding characteristic Product ID.
