2520561 - Error: The File You are Uploading Includes the Following Column(s) that is Not Part of Active Source View

You upload a migration file in the Migration of Customers activity. This file includes hidden columns that are filled with data. But you are not able to upload this data and an error message appears:

The file you are uploading includes the following column(s) that is not part of active source view:
ABC -  XYZ (ABC represents the name of the sheet, XYZ represents the name of the hidden column).
Data from these columns will not be uploaded.

Even unhidden and populated, the related tabs do not show up during during Validation step.

1. In your Migration File, unhide and maintain the column XYZ.
2. Go to the Business Configuration work center.
3. Select the Implementation Projects view.
4. Click on the Activity List tab.
5. In Show field, select All Activities.
6. Search for Migration of Customers.
7. Choose Open.
8. Select Migrate Customers using the Migration Tool.
9. Upload the filled Migration Template.

The following error message appears:

The file you are uploading includes the following column(s) that is not part of active source view:
ABC -  XYZ
Data from these columns will not be uploaded.

Hidden fields exist only for reference purposes. The migration tool ignores the data in these fields. This is the expected system behaviour for the Migration of Customers and valid for all migration methods (add new records, modify, enhance, replace).

Please use Data Workbench to upload such data. To modify existing data and for example to upload Contacts-Marketing Permission, also the Mass Data Maintenance scenario is applicable.
