2520597 - The Fields Company Name and Department Name are not Getting Auto-Populated From Employee Assignment in the Org Structure

You have assigned the Employee XYZ and his Manager PQR to an Organizational Unit XXXXX. In Employee view, the field Department, Job, and Manager details got auto-populated from Employee assignment in Org Structure. But the fields Company Name and Department Name are not getting auto-populated from Employee assignment in Org Structure.

*XXXXX represents the Organizational Unit
XYZ represents the Employee
PQR represents the Manager

SAP Hybris Cloud for Customer

Assign Employee XYZ and Manager PQR to the Organizational Unit using the below steps:

1. Go to Organizational Management workcenter
2. Go to Org Structures view
3. Show All and find the Organizational Unit XXXXX
4. Open in Edit mode
5. Go to the Employees tab
6. Under the section Employees, select Add and assign the Employee XYZ to Organizational Unit
7. Under the section Managers, select Add and assign the Manager PQR to the Organizational Unit

 Check the Employee data as below:

1. Go to Administrator workcenter
2. Go to Users view
3. Select Employees subview
4. Select the Employee XYZ
5. Select Edit

The fields Company Name and Department Name are not auto-populated. They are free text fields.

There is no defaulting implemented for the fields Company Name and Department Name.

The data in the Employee UI will be used in a letter being sent to this Employee whereas, the name of the Company in the Organizational Unit TI is more the internal name. They can be equal, but must not be equal. Therefore, the fields in the Employee TI are editable and not defaulted.

As there is no defaulting implemented for the fields Company Name and Department Name, the User must maintain the data manually in the Employee TI.
