2520764 - RepServer upgrade fails with Error 1640 received from ASE - SRS

Symptom

  • Replication Server upgrade fails.
  • The following error is reported in the SRS errorlog:

ERROR #1028 GLOBAL RS(GLOBAL RS) - eneric/err/errhand.c(657) 
Message from server: Message: 1640, State 2, Severity 16 -- 'Adaptive Server requires encryption of the login password on the network.

  • ASE parameter "net password encryption reqd" is enabled.
  • SRS parameter "send_enc_password" is enabled.
  • In the SRS configuration file, RS_send_enc_pw=on .
