2520789 - Blocking Spids Halting Production - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • For past 3 nights we have had production issues where a job (same each night) will appear to be not processing and a blocking lock will never resolve.
  • Locks are showing spid x with a Sh-page-blk lock with status send sleep, and spid y with update page lock with status lock sleep.
  • In sysprocesses physical_io and cpu are not moving.
  • Issue only arising from a specific SmartStream job.
