Symptom

You Would Like to Configure Mindtouch Knowledge Base Integration Using REST Based Services.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Sales Administrator Workcenter;
  2. Click on view Business Flexibility;
  3. Click on New button so then on RSS/Atom Service;
  4. Enter the URL of the RSS or Atom feed and click Extract Parameters.

You notice that you cannot configure Mindtouch  Mashup Web Services using REST Service.

Cause

The standard solution finder supports only Mindtouch endpoints of ATOM or RSS based webservice. REST based service is not supported.

Resolution

To activate the Mindtouch Knowledge Base Integration you need to use ATOM or RSS API. Please refer to the pre-requisites to activate Mindtouch Integration below:

Prerequisites

•You have an external knowledge base that supports the OpenSearch standard with an RSS or ATOM based search API.
•You know the URL for the API (from your knowledge base vendor).
•You know the search term input parameter for the API (from your knowledge base vendor).
