2523401 - 1708 Release: Linking of Absences for Mexico

Symptom

In previous releases, linking of sickness absences functionality is only supported for two countries: Germany and Spain

    Resolution

    In 1708 release, linking of sickness absences is now supported for Mexico, providing Administrators the capability to associate/group multiple absences of Sickness type relating to employee's inability to work.

    Reference Number field is introduced to hold the reference number of the related sickness absences and replicate values to IT2011-REFNR in payroll system if integration between Employee Central Time Off and EC Payroll is setup.

    Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

    1. When is the 'Link additional absence' button shown/hidden?

    Link button will be shown in the new absence form and when editing an absence. If the base absence is linked to more than one absence, the button will be invisible/hidden.

    2. Is 'Overlapping' option supported as a linking reason for Mexico?

    Same with Spain, only 'Identical' option is supported as a linking reason for Mexico. 'Overlapping' option is available only for Germany.

    3. For absence linking in Mexico, what approval statuses are considered?

    Linking of absences is allowed for the following statuses: "APPROVED", "PENDING", and "PENDING CANCELLATION"

    4. Are recurring absence allowed to be linked to any other absence or any other recurring absence for Mexico?

    Yes, this scenario is supported.

    5. When selecting an absence to be linked, why are some specific absences of different types not displayed?

    Only time types of Absence Class 'Sickness' is considered for linking. If absence class of the time type is 'Unspecified', absences created for this type would not be shown in the list. 

    6. Is it possible to show the "Additional Leave Information for <Country Name>" in Time Off ESS?

    No, this feature is only available in the TIme Off Workbench.
