Symptom
If you want to give a field permission but limit the visibility to the fields that were filled by a specific role, this is possible under Manage Templates.
For example, the Employee should read the Section Comments during a specific step, but only the one given by the manager. On this scenario, the Manager is the Owner Role.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Performance Management
Cause
The owner-role is supported in PMv12A, so you might see the option available in Admin Center > Manage templates.
Resolution
Follow steps below:
- Go to Admin Center;
- Click on Performance Management;
- Click on Manage Templates;
- Open the template you want to change;
- Click on the section where you want to give the permissions;
- Click on "Show advanced options...";
- Scroll down until you see the field permissions;
- Select none/read/write according to what you would like to achieve;
- Select Section Permission;
- Now you see the option to add owner-role, which is the role that owns that filled the comment.
