2523518 - How to configure owner-role for section comments in PMv12A - Performance Management

Symptom

If you want to give a field permission but limit the visibility to the fields that were filled by a specific role, this is possible under Manage Templates.

For example, the Employee should read the Section Comments during a specific step, but only the one given by the manager. On this scenario, the Manager is the Owner Role.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Performance Management

Cause

The owner-role is supported in PMv12A, so you might see the option available in Admin Center > Manage templates.

Resolution

Follow steps below:

  1. Go to Admin Center;
  2. Click on Performance Management;
  3. Click on Manage Templates;
  4. Open the template you want to change;
  5. Click on the section where you want to give the permissions;
  6. Click on "Show advanced options...";
  7. Scroll down until you see the field permissions;
  8. Select none/read/write according to what you would like to achieve;
  9. Select Section Permission;
  10. Now you see the option to add owner-role, which is the role that owns that filled the comment.
