2523518 - How to configure owner-role for section comments in PMv12A - Performance Management

If you want to give a field permission but limit the visibility to the fields that were filled by a specific role, this is possible under Manage Templates.

For example, the Employee should read the Section Comments during a specific step, but only the one given by the manager. On this scenario, the Manager is the Owner Role.
