2523676 - Survey is not Assigned to Users after Course Completion

Symptom

Users have completed a course which has a survey associated to it. The survey is never assigned to the user after completion.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create a Survey
  2. Associate the Survey to an Item
  3. Assign the Item to a User
  4. Complete the Item as the User
  5. The Survey is not assigned to the User

Cause

This behavior can occur when the Survey is active but not published

Resolution

  1. In Learning Administration go to Content > Surveys
  2. Search for the Survey that was associated to the Item and go to the Questions tab
  3. Notice that the Publish button is present which means there are no active questions
  4. Press the Publish button

Note: This action will not trigger the survey assignment automatically

In order to reassign the surveys for Items which are Instructor Led:

  • Navigate to the Class record > Using the Actions menu, select Initiate Surveys

Note: This will only work for registered users who have not yet received completion.

In order to reassign the surveys for Items which are not Instructor Led:

  • This is only for users that have completion for the Item granted already. The completion needs to be removed and redone to reassign the survey. Deletion of completions has to be manually done and cannot be done in bulk.
    1. Navigate to Manage User Learning > Edit Learning History
    2. Search for the User and the Item
    3. Edit the Completion record and Delete it
    4. Proceed to Manage User Learning > Add Learning History (either with Finance or for Multiple Courses)
    5. Add the completion of the Item and the Survey will be assigned
